By God how far we had wandered among the stars, restless for adventure, propelled by necessity. Our home world but a hollow cocoon as the cosmos was embodied by human experience. We hoped we were not alone in the universe, but in every planet revealed we found loneliness in the vastness of space. Our faith kept us anchored, kept us sane. The void can be a strange and dangerous place. And as destiny would have it there is a new era on the horizon.

Mandi Lavoie
From a small farming community in south-western Ontario, Mandi Lavoie was homeschooled until grade three and transitioned to full-time French Immersion schools. She is very proud of her French Canadian Metis heritage and is bilingual. Ever since she was a child she loved to imagine herself as characters in her beloved books.
Mandi is a Fashion Design graduate and uses her creativity in every aspect of her life. She loves all things tie-dye and dabbles in acrylic painting and chalk painting furniture. Mandi is a self-taught author, and although this is her first published work, she has been writing since the age of twelve. She not only writes but collects books on Canadian history, first hand war memoirs, action books, science fiction books, Fringe notebooks and tie dye clothing.
When she’s not writing or collecting she’s spending time with her family. Near and dear to her are road trips with her mother, visiting her two younger brothers and the extended family. Mandi recently became an aunt and loves spending time with her nephew. She loves taking long walks with a good audio book and can often be found jotting down inspiration in her notes.
Her goals include publishing a sci-fi series with elements of her Christian faith and the supernatural, being able to turn authorship into a full-time career where she can work from home.
